Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre was founded as a company in 1980. The school was launched in 1983 and has since moved from strength to strength. The company was founded by Deborah Lundmark, who is the artistic director. Managing director Michael deConinck Smith is also a founding member of the company.
Deborah has over 40 years of experience and is a highly-regarded member of the school. She also helps to train teachers. Many of her students have moved on to bigger and better things. Michael has staged and directed more than 300 Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre productions and is a highly acclaimed member of the company.
